A little bit about the B4RN network

Unlike other providers B4RN does not use BT’s copper lines to reach customer’s properties. The B4RN gigabit network is entirely fibre optic and entirely B4RN community owned. None of this would be possible without the support of  investors, volunteers and landowners who make B4RN what it is.

B4RN is all about community, and it needs community support in every prject. This comes in the form of investors, local volunteers and supportive landowners. The local community has so much to gain; not only faster broadband for families, schools and businesses but also a provider that cares about service to its customers and returns all its profits to the community!

Profits for the community

B4RN is non-profit ‘community benefit’ society. Its running costs are easily sustained and its profits can only be distributed to the community. Projects like village hall refurbishments, community group trips or protected wildlife areas are all be able to apply to B4RN for grant assistance.
