August 2019 Update – First Properties connect!

The first households in Stainton have now been connected to the B4RN service and are receiving fibre to the home broadband.

The B4RN Stainton steering group is delighted to report that some 40 Stainton Parish properties now have a live B4RN service, which is the result of 18 months of hard work so far. Those who are already connected have reported superb service and super-fast signal speeds, bringing in a new era of fibre broadband for the parish.

Connecting the whole Parish

B4ST routes
Work continues on remaining routes around the parish. Digging has
commenced on Routes 1 and 2 (Halfpenny and Millbridge Lane) and most wayleaves are now agreed for Route 4 (Barrows Green), paving the way
for digging to follow on shortly for that route.

Gigabit Voucher Scheme

If you want a B4RN connection, but haven’t yet registered on the B4RN website, then please do so without further delay.

It is a B4RN requirement that properties must first register in order to get a B4RN connection. Registering is free, easy to do, and for most properties B4RN will provide a cheque for £150 once that property’s service is live. Business connections enjoy additional benefits.

The project’s funding and planning relies upon these registrations. The project isn’t able to wait for individual registrations; please don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Register Now – It’s free and simple to do!

Step 1 – sign up online
Visit the ‘GET BARN’ page of the B4RN website.

The first thing you will see is a postcode checker. For postcodes in Stainton it will take you to the Voucher registration form with relevant instructions and information. Complete the details on the form

Step 2 – Get your connection

Once you are signed up to the scheme, you will then receive emails to ask you to confirm your connection via an online portal then verify your connection after you go live. Look out for an e-mail and check in your spam folder if you do not receive it.

Step 3 – Funding is unlocked!

Once your connection is live, the B4RN Stainton project receives a small government grant payment and you receive £150 towards any costs that you
may have incurred in digging across your garden.

GBVS will help Help B4RN Stainton connect everyone. If you haven’t already, please register now.
